When the Newport Historical Society was founded in 1854, its leaders envisioned a permanent home for the preservation and presentation of Newport County’s material history.  More than 150 years later, the founders’ legacy lives on through the leadership and philanthropy of subsequent generations.  To ensure a future for Newport’s past, please consider a legacy gift to Newport’s home for history, the Newport Historical Society.
